Weld Dye Plants

Reseda luteola. This interesting plant is a source of bright, acid-yellow dye. It’s a biennial that stands tall in the garden with golden blooms and a delightful scent. It’s related to Mignonette, a renowned perfume plant beloved by Empress Josephine. You may want to cut some just to enjoy the fragrance. This makes a great dye to also use with others to create secondary hues of orange or green.
