Heavenly Blue Tweedia

Oxypetalum coerulea. The color of this striking blue flower is somewhere between azure and turquoise. The small blooms are often flecked with deep pink spots. Tweedia is perennial vine in the tropics but grown as a rambling annual in temperate zones. It’s lovely in bouquets and, as a member of the milkweed family, beloved by butterflies in the garden. Heavenly Blue is a robust variety of tweedia that blooms in late summer.
