Seeing spots.
Spots, stripes, wavery lines. My arm aches and my hair’s a mess but I’m proud of doing my bit to keep this moving. I wish it was faster, but after punishing weekends of work, I have more respect for how much this takes.
At every stage, the crew says “now this will move along faster.” And they work hard to make it move, but damp days slow the dry time, and we need a regular diet of refills on tape, mud, screws and Mountain Dew. The beverage of choice for construction crews. Before quitting time anyway.
